This quality silicone rubber part replaces the original rubber components which fail by going hard, cracking and ultimately parting from the turntable base. These will replace the rotted rubber insulators on your original Pioneer feet. The Pioneer part number was PEB-086 but is no longer made. Pioneer PL-518 Hinge Backing Plates. So, somebody gave me a nice PL-518 Stereo Turntable. Had the cover and the hinges, but no backing plates. So I looked at them on Ebay and decided to make my own. So I did. Not perfect, but they work as you can see in the second picture. I used a 4 hole setup because I think 4 holes will be stronger and put minimal stress on the plate itself, although the hinge springs are not that strong. These should snap right on your hinges. You can then put the cover on, and measure them for fit. About an 1/8 in gap between the top of the table. Use a pencil. Use a small drill bit to create a starter hole. Small wood screws should work fine. I believe these will fit other 500 series turntables as well. These were made on a filament 3D printer. I am retired and love to tinker.
