The Pioneer SX-X50 series has gained a reputation as the greatest overall receivers Pioneer ever produced with the SX-850 considered the greatest value model in the SX-X50 lineup. Conservatively rated at 65 WPC, it has plenty of power and great features like a four gang tuner, two tape monitors and a third in/out loop to serve as a processor, two phono inputs, pre-amplifier section, tone defeat, and two-step Bass/Treble frequency turnover switches. This unit was obtained from the original owner, a local retired public educator moving from WV to SC. It is extremely clean inside and out. All the pots, controls, and switches were noise free upon initial testing with all lamps functioning. This unit has been professionally serviced by our tech with all boards tested and solder joints inspected. Appropriate caps, resistors, and diodes were replaced and any cold solder joints addressed. The chassis, inputs, pots, switches, and speaker relay have been cleaned with BIAS and offset set to factory specs. The tuner has been cleaned and aligned. Cosmetically this SX-850 is in outstanding condition with minimal scratches and blemishes. The dimensions are 20.75 X 16.25 X 6.75 and weighs 47 LBS. A copy of the owners manual is included.Vintage audio equipment is sold as is with no warranties or returns. Any issues or problems with any equipment will be clearly described in the listing.
