Welcome to this auction for my Pioneer SX-450 Receiver.This is a lovely looking unit,the brushed aluminium face,control knobs and tuning dial are all in super condition,it looks fantastic all lit up with that warm glow.The wood side cheeks have a few minor marks,but nothing significant and the top is excellent.This receiver is fully functional,all amplifier inputs are perfect and its equipped with a very good MM phono stage,so you can hook up your turntable directly and enjoy the full analogue sound the way its meant to be.The radio,when fitted to an external FM ariel,is brilliant..it locks onto stations easily and sounds gorgeous...very enjoyable.I had this unit driving a pair of KEF R104aB loudspeakers(also for sale) and it handled them with no problems whatsoever,ample deep bass and plenty of power,its a great sounding piece and punches well above its weight.Im happy to ship this and if you live locally then youre welcome to collect.Any questions please ask and feel free to check out my other listings.Thanks for looking.

Oh, this is a receiver that works excellent. It just needs to have the power switch. Replaced. Pretty common repair on these. Everything else is in tiptop condition and all of the switches and knobs are cleaned with Deoxit.

Vintage Pioneer SX-450 Receiver Walnut Wood Sides Works Great Estate Find Item came from a local estate sale and seems to work great. Do expect some normal wear and scratches on exterior and it will need a good cleaning as it is a bit dusty/dirty from storage. I should also mention that there is a sticker on the front from the original owner that will probably come off with some effort but i will leave that for you.I tried to highlight everything in the photos so please view them close and use the zoom feature for a close up view. Vintage Pioneer SX-450 stereo receiver 70 Watts 60 Hz Condition: Works fine. I tested the Radio only. Sound very good with my Cerwin Vega speakers. The wood grain finish is actually a very thin transparent film. It buckled on left front edge which I lifted and then re-glued. It was also loose in a couple other areas that I also re-glued. The previous owners name was engraved in front and there is an errant scratch to the left of name. I lightly dusted and wiped off with a soapy sponge. However, close up pics show some more/better cleaning is warranted. See ALL 20 photos and ask questions.

Item Information Item Description: This Pioneer SX-450 AM/FM Stereo Receiver is listed for parts/repair because the Function(input) selector knobs switch is bent sharply. The Treble potentiometer is also bent about the same amount as the Function one. There is quite a bit of random damage to the simulated wood cabinet as well. Condition: The simulated wood cabinet has peeling veneer, its delaminating in places from the edges and there are some dings in it. Please take a close look at the provided images to see this damage. There is some scratches and scrapes along the top of the brushed aluminum faceplate. Testing Done: Tested and everything actually works, but because of the bent potentiometer and switch we have to list this for Parts/repair. No Additional Accessories, item will come as pictured.
