This came from an estate sale and I plugged it in and it looks like everything lights up as it should. That is as far as I am able to test this so I am selling as parts or repair. This could use a light cleaning and there are a few scratches on the front right corner.

Straight outta Germany and well kept for decades. Blemish on top of cabinet but otherwise super clean and all original. All lights work and also have other components from same system that will be for sale at some point. Unit powers on. It was sold to me as working. Im not an expert at these older radios by far so this is what I know. I plugged up a reciever and 2 speakers. The red diods did not come on.( Its possible I didnt do something right for them to come on) Lol. The volume in the speaks did change as I moved the equalizer. I moved all the ones on left side down and the left speaker volume turned completely down. Same on the right side. I moved them up and the volume returned increasing louder the more I moved them up same on both sides. So appears to be working the sound per side best I can tell. The unit is in pretty good condition. The last equilizer bar on the right tip is broken but still moves. The same on the right. Last tip broken but still moves also. Also 2 of the buttons have a bad spring in the switch. 1 is theTape monitor on and off button. The other is the Attenuator -6db button. Both buttons function correctly when pushed in and pulled out the only thing is you have to manually pull them out. Still a very nice old equilizer just needs a little TLC. One last thing I noticed is it does look like the black casing has had the paint touched up a little. Looks great can hardly notice they did a good job just wanted to mention that. Feel free to ask any questions or ask my to try something different that I havent for you I will. Thank you very much for looking. I have run up on about 300 misc. Pioneer SG-9800 Graphic Equalizer Silver Tested and Works Read Notes AS-IS Nice cosmetic condition, has numbers etched on top right edge, see close up photo. Overall nice condition, minor wear. Was hooked up and tested in a running system, works great. The tape monitor button needs repair, it does not click in to turn on, I took off cover and tried cleaning it and exercised the button to see if any dirt was stopping it from working but that did not fix. Selling AS-IS for parts or repair due to this.

This is in good working condition but the -3db and tape monitor button dont stay depressed. That was the only thing I found wrong with it but this is why I listed as parts or repair. Has all buttons and levers and lights work. Has some marks and is a little dusty from being stored. Equalized sound good and was tested on my receiver. Silver front and black metal case.
