Voll funktionsfhig, Auto-Return und Anti-Skating funktionieren einwandfrei! Leider sind die Fe lose, da das Gummi pors geworden ist. Siehe Fotos! Die Fe werden lose mitgeliefert. Das Stromkabel sollte ausgetauscht werden, da es im Laufe der Zeit brchig geworden ist. Die Abdeckhaube ffnet und schliet ohne Probleme, hat aber einige Kratzer, die ich nur schwer fotografieren konnte. Ansonsten ist der Plattenspieler in schnem gepflegtem Zustand! Ich verpacke sehr sorgfltig und gut geschtzt!Am 30.10.23 hat der Verkäufer die folgenden Angaben hinzugefügt: Achtung: Ein Interessent hat mich darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass bei den Fen auch 4 Federn fehlen! Very nice working Pioneer PL-18 Turntable. All controls and functions work as they should. Keeps a good constant speed. Comes with a lightly used AudioTechnica AT-VMN95E cartridge and stylus. Original dust cover has some light scuffing that could be taken out with a headlight repair kit. Will packed parts separately and double box to insure safe shipping.

Tested and works 100%, from my own personal collection. Powers on when you move the tone arm towards the center and the automatic return works exactly how it should. Original power cable, ground wire & audio output cables attached. Let me start by just saying I absolutely love this thing. Not only is this a made in Japan turntable from the 70s (amazing quality era), but it’s also a real PL-518x black model which is way more rare. For its age, this thing is in amazing condition with original feet still in tact. There may be minor scuffs here and there but nothing major at all (see photos). It comes with a Audio-Technica AT-125LC phono cartridge attached (also rare and high quality, $200 value alone). The stylus on this cartridge features a highly polished and shaped titanium bonded linear contact diamond. The stylus was cleaned before every listening session and still sounds great, pair it with a nice pair of speakers and you’ve got an excellent sound. It does not have a dust cover lid, however I will include the original hardware for the lid. Lids are readily available on eBay and online. A 45 adapter to play the smaller records is also included. I hate to part ways with it, I’ve had it for 2 years and it’s ready for the next owner to love. Also, I’m in need of cash. Mint Vintage Pioneer PL-518X Direct drive Auto return turn table. This is a fully working, serviced PL-518 in virtually mint condition and comes complete with original box and original user manual. It is rare to find one of these turntables in such good condition. The speed at 33 and 45 is constant and stable. The damped tonearm lift and auto return function perfectly. The stylus is microscopically good and sounds really good. New aftermarket Styli are readily available on eBay The turntable itself is unmarked and in excellent condition. It is a true classic and very well regarded. (See review on Vinyl Engine) The plastic dust cover is not perfect, but in very good condition for its age. It has some light scratches and one larger scratch on the top. But no clouding or cracks. (See photos) NB: Brand new rubber grommets fitted to the feet and springs put in correct feet (different spring tension in each corner for exact damping). All these turntables suffer from perished rubber grommets by this age and fall off. The feet on this turntable are now as new and should last another 30 years. Description and Specifications from Vinyl Engine: Description The Pioneer PL-518 is a 2-speed, direct-drive turntable fitted with a static balance type, S-shaped tonearm. Although the PL-518 is technically a manual, single-play turntable, the kind traditionally preferred by audiophiles and professionals alike, it offers two welcome conveniences. One is the Quick-Start function. The other is the Auto-Return function, which works like this: when the stylus enters the lead-out groove of your record, a special Pioneer-developed device detects the increased lateral speed of the tone arm and triggers the auto-return mechanism. This lifts the tone arm gently, returns it to its rest, and shuts off all power to the turntable. The mechanism is one that Pioneer has tested successfully for over 100,000 continuous operations, and one guaranteed to perform with minimum noise and maximum reliability. The PL-518s platter does not begin to rotate until you lift the tone arm and move it toward the outer edge of the platter. This convenience is appreciated all the more when you use it in combination with the oil-damped Cue Lever which lets you lower the stylus to the record surface (at the point of your choice) without risk of dropping the arm or nicking the record. All controls on the Pioneer PL-518 are grouped on the righthand side of the platter to make handling easier still. In addition to the adjustment controls for the tone arm there is the Cue Lever, the Speed Select Button, and the Fine Pitch Control. Also on the right is the built-in strobe with an attractively illuminated light/calibration arrangement so that you may keep a visual check on the platters accurate speed. Pioneer has developed a 16-pole, 24-slot DC servomotor for the PL-518, one that provides exactly the same high signal-to-noise ratio and low wow/flutter as that used in the more expensive PL-520 model. This motors magnetic circuit is twice as strong as conventional direct-drive types, a fact which contributes greatly to its improved resistance to torque ripple caused by uneven magnetic force. Its switching frequency is also doubled, to 13.3Hz. Together these mean improved load characteristics, more accurate platter speeds at all times and, ultimately, better tonal quality results from your records.
