This is the most sought-after Bluray Player by Pioneer, as it combines the best of all generations. It has features not even the much more expensive later models offered. It has Dual HDMI Outputs, but still spoils a coaxial and a composite video out. No other model combines the three, instead something was always axed to save money. On top of that, besides the standard formats, it even allows playback of exotic discs like SACD (even homemade SACD-R) and DVD-AUDIO or HDCD with its own decoder! However, that is still not the most special thing about this player: thanks to a software modification, the Bluray and DVD regions can be switched by a simple setting in its menu! Because of this, you can enjoy worldwide releases - a feast for all collectors of uncut and import originals! Stock Bluray players are limited to either USA (region A), Europe (region B) or Asia (region C). The devices offered in our markets are unable to play the discs from overseas - but this BDP-LX55 can!
