Der A-88X ist das Spitzenmodell von Pioneer in Sachen Vollverstärker der späten 80er Jahre. Durch den Doppelmono-Aufbau, getrennte Lautsprecherrelais für jeden Kanal, vergoldeten Phono-Eingang und Leistung die seines gleichen in der Preisklasse sucht (siehe unten) war/ist der A-88X ein gefragter Vollverstärker. Technisch gibt es nichts zu bemängeln bis auf die Birne am Power-Knopf, die ist leider defekt. Sonst funktioniert alles tadellos was sehr gern bei Selbstabholung getestet werden.Optisch steht der A-88X für seine fast 40 Jahre sehr gut da, ein zwei Kleinigkeiten (siehe Bilder) aber an sonsten gut gepflegt.Außerdem aus einem Nichtraucher Haushalt ohne Haustiere.
