Dies ist praktisch, weil alle Laserdisc-Player nur über einen Scart-, Cinch- oder S-VHS-Ausgang verfügen und nicht direkt an ein TV-Gerät angeschlossen werden können, das nur noch über HDMI-Eingänge verfügt.
