I have checked main functions such as play, fast forward, rewind - all OK. Have not tried to record anything. Information from the vcr itself says Nicam hifi stereo, turbo drive, digital studio picture control, turbo timer, follow tv. Remote control needs 2 AA batteries, not included. There are signs of leakage from previous batteries but remote still works OK. Happy to answer any questions. From smoke free home. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class
