The DVD player side does power up and tray opens and closes no problem. However it will not load the disc. Not sure if this is a easy repairable thing. This is why we are selling it AS-IS for parts only. I am adding a blank vhs tape in case the person that purchases this item only wants it for the VHS player which works great.
