Another nice example of this highly regarded and ever popular player.  This particular unit - serial no : 221362 made in June 1986 is a very late production unit.   ( close to the end of CD-104 production ). COMPLETE WITH ORIGINAL BOX , (matched s/no. ) AND PACKING. PLUS USER MANUAL. AND INFO. PACK. ALL DOCUMENTATION IN MINT CONDITION. SERVICED :- Most importantly, particular attention was paid to remedy the well documented ‘griplet’ problem. These have been bypassed with proper through-board wire links. That’s the only successful method - Simply resoldering them is never a permanent cure.   In addition, both the Control Board and Display Board have through several boards ground connections and these have also been re-worked. Aged electrolytic capacitors also replaced. Laser drive, together with focus, and radial servos all recalibrated. New load drive belt fitted. Tray closes perfectly, without manual assistance. No issues. Disc Load, Read, and eject works fine. Sounds great. SUPERB PHYSICAL CONDITION. — PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS TO ASSESS TRUE CONDITION. 100% original spec. Fully authentic. No mods. PHILIPS CD-104 Vintage CD Player. SERVICED/RECAP. SUPERB ! READ FULL DETAIL.. I bought this a couple of years ago off an ebay cd104 specialist. It had been fully refurbished and is in non oversampling mode. I cant access the original description so cannot go into detail as to the techncalities of the upgrade. Hopefully the photos will show the work done. Works perfectly and sounds great. In very good condition. Hardly used since acquiring. Reads discs perfectly. Very solidly built and heavy.
