PHILIPS GA 212 ELECTRONIC TURNTABLE RECORD PLAYER HIGH FIDELITYVintage unit, probably about 45 - 50 years old. It has a new belt, and was plugged in and works (see the video).No significant cracks are noted in the plastic cover. Overall condition is good - very good.It has electronic touch controls. The middle one is for off and it lights up.The other two are for 33 or 45 rpm and BOTH of these do NOT light up, but they work, and they turn the turntable on to the requested speed. The bulbs are available on ebay for about $10. There is a suspended sub chassis. For transport, two screws are placed and must be removed to make the unit functional.The brand of the cartridge / stylus is not known.The rubber on the platter has an area of a mild amountof discoloration, which can be seen in the photo. Vintage Philips 212 Electronic Turntable Nice cosmetic condition. Tested and operates. See photos for actual condition. Feel free to ask questions. Because of the high cost of shipping both ways we are selling this unit AS IS with no returns. Please ask any questions prior to committing to buy so we can preempt any misunderstandings. Note: there is some light scuffing on the dust cover as shown in the photos that can probably be buffed out with the right compound but overall it looks pretty nice for its age. Note: The ON/OFF switch is a bit sticky. If in the ON position one will have to depress the button and let it flick upward so it extends all the way into the OFF position. And vice-versa, when in the OFF position if the button isnt fully extended up into the OFF position you will have to let it flick up all the way and then depress it so it so the catch fully disengages and then engages in the ON position. An experienced audiophile will probably be able to clean the switch so it operates easily with little effort. Please feel free to ask questions if this explanation isnt clear. Note: We recommend that this unit be purchased by an audiophile that is experienced with vintage electronics as they can be finnicky. We take GREAT PRIDE in our CUSTOMER SERVICE!
