I do amplifiers upgrades, so with this amp I went with a heavy upgrade to include: Replacing all electrolytic caps with high quality audio grade caps from Nichicon or Elna. Replacing cheap bypass caps with wima mkp10. Replacing critical resistors in the music path with the highly acclaimed hi-end prp9372 resistors. Replacing all relays since they are electro-mechanical and tend to have wear and tear after years. Replacing bridge rectifiers with ultra fast/soft recovery higher voltage and amperage. This, according to John Curl, Parasounds legendary designer, makes a big leap in sound quality. All this buys you an amp sounding much better than the stock 1206, some argue even better than the a52, and at much lower price.
