Up for sale is a 2.1 Parasound Halo P6 pre-amplifier with an on-board MM/MC phono section and DAC. I am the original owner and this unit has always been in a smoke-free and pet-free environment. The Parasound P6 checks all the boxes to complete an audiophile system. I bought this preamp because it has a moving-coil phono section. It worked great with my low output, moving-coil cartridge. I found it had plenty of gain bringing my Emotiva mono-block amplifiers to life (see related ad for the mono-blocks). Another consideration was it offered XLR connections. As a bonus, I used the on-board DAC when I needed some background music while I worked around the house. I streamed to my Macbook then routed that signal into the preamp with a USB cable. It performed great. Alas, I now have a much smaller listening room that is kind of isolated from the rest of the house, thus I dont use the DAC anymore. Besides, I have downgraded to a lower powered integrated which doesnt have a DAC. Its time for someone else to enjoy this well appointed, in-new-condition, preamp. Hello there, here is a Parasound P5 which is a 2.1 stereo preamplifier with digital to analog coverter, phono and remote. This is truely a full function preamp with built in DAC for optical, USB and coaxial digital sources, Phono, balanced XLR in and out, trigger connection to turn on other components, subwoofer outputs and crossover, home theater bypass, bass and treble (with tone bypass). The phono input even has selectable loading for different types of phono cartriges. There is a front panel 3.5mm input for iphone/android, and also a 3.5mm headphone jack. Really there is no legitimate feature that is absent. Includes remote, USB cable and power cable that came with the unit; original manuals. I purchased this from The Music Room years ago and it came triple boxed, so will ship triple boxed, including the original box on the very inside. The boxes by themselves empty are very heavy and an old USPS label indicates about $60 to ship originally, so this is built into the price. Very good condition, a small scratch on the left side of the faceplate as you can see but this is virtually invisible to the naked eye and accentuated by the high resolution photos. No known issues, this was in a second system that has been sold off so I no longer need it and figured someone out there could use it. Free shipping in USA. Any questions just ask.
