They pack an effortless punch to your home theater or roll them off and give your other channels a rest trying to hit that low that the Paradigms do for a living when listening to 2 channel stereo. All of the compliance rings are pliable. The cabinet is in 7+ condituon. 8 isnt a stretch. A very faint buzz can B heard if there nothing else on line. My others Seismics did the same thing. When they are powered up, auto on, the buzz disappears. Full disclosure as I want to keep my audio karma strong. I do have 1 original box. I have a figure in mind thatd let it go... lets talk. For sale is my Paradigm Seismic 12 with some upgrades. The foam surrounds started to fail on the active driver and passive radiators so bought (2) new passives and had the active totally rebuilt by Patrick from Robot Undergound in Mesa AZ. He did a masterful job and with the new rebuild it now hits harder and extends a little deeper.Looks cool too. I have the grille for the active driver that the sub came with but you will need bump outs to use it because of the deeper surround he installed.I didnt use it because it probably wasnt necessary in the first place except for a finishing detail on a consumer product.I raised the feet to compensate. I fixed this 3.5 years ago and will send receipts for proof. Sub is like new now save the amp but no issues with that and functions 100%. Cosmetically its in nice condition including the smoked plexiglass top inlay.The amp plate and feet are clean.The bottom wood trim plate is wrapped in black textured vinyl and that is peeling at the edges and on the bottom.Paradigm should have just painted this piece but not a big deal.Someone could easily remove the vinyl cladding and spray paint it a satin black for a uniform look. Amazing sub performance especially for its size. Tremendous scale and disappears very well because of the down-firing design. Powerful low end that extends down to almost 20Hz in my room. Hits hard so really rocks blockbuster movies plus tactile enough for good music reproduction. I dont have the OEM box but will be robustly packed for safe shipment. The Paradigm Seismic 110 is an amazing subwoofer. Im not sure anything hits harder for its size, except maybe the old Sunfire Super Jr. You can do your own research on the Seismic. The plate amp puts out 850 watts continuous and up to 1700 watts peak. It also retailed for $1900 when new. Amazingly its actually made Canada, not China. It takes both RCA and XLR inputs. Cosmetically the subwoofer is in great shape. I saw one or two minor scratches, but thats it. The amp functions perfectly and hits hard. All the tone and phase controls work normally without a hint of static. Testing: I hit this sub hard. I turned it up to max output at the opening of Blade Runner 2049. This is far higher than you would ever normally listen. I have heard some people had problems with the dust cap surround coming loose. I did not notice anything like that. The surround is quiet and should have been rattling like a can of marbles as hard as I was pushing it. Important caveat: the feet squeaked like crazy on my laminate floors. At first I thought there was something wrong with the sub, but as long as I hold the feet down, its silent. Frankly these feet are cheap plastic crap--completely unbecoming of a $1900 subwoofer. This wont be a problem if you have carpet, but if you have wood or tile floors, you NEED to upgrade the feet. SVS makes some nice decoupling pucks for only $50 and theyre utterly silent on my SVS sub. As I said, I hit this sub FAR harder than I would ever do for any movie, so at normal volumes the feet might not be that bad, but still do the upgrade! Includes original power cord and box.
