The auction also includes the Paradigm X-30 Series subwoofer control unit, a 19 foot Monster Cable high performance subwoofer cable, and the power supply cord. The length in the cable comes in handy. You dont need to have the control unit sitting close to the subwoofer. The X30 control unit is needed to operate this subwoofer and is included. This unit is of course used but in great condition with some very minor floors on the top surface as shown in the pictures. The advantage of such scheme is in the ability to get a high response in narrow frequency band, but for this you often have to pay by the increase of duration of step response that, in turn, causes the effect of coloring. Another highlight is a digital amplifier, which uses pulse-width modulation of signal and allows you to combine compactness and bigger electric power. In addition to standard controls, there are a smooth change of phase (in the range 0°-180°) and signal filtration for satellites. You can even put up with excessive sizes for such magnificence. It is difficult to control emotions at the description of PS-1000 in the theatre complex. A typical scene of unbridled battle in city center showed some kind of systems selectivity in the presentation of low-frequency content of shots: single shots from pump-action shotgun sound very realistic; string of burst from M-16 is slightly smoothed. However, showiness of performance, significantly enhanced by the presence of PS-1000, shoulders the viewer deep into action and hearing can easily forgive a slight tightening of the pulsed sounds. If you combine the sub with mature in low-frequency sense floor pair, its abilities of customization allow you to reach deep, soft, natural bass base in cinema and music. Unfortunately, it developed a bit of a rattle in the speaker like something has blown, so has been sat for a few years gathering dust. It also has the auto power on fault, which can easily be fixed (Google it). Selling as faulty, so no time wasters or returns. Collection only due to the size and weight. I will not consider posting/couriering it.

There is an on off switch fitted but if you leave it on then it will automatically switch off if not being used. Collection only from Portland Dorset due to its size and weight. Cash on collection.

Paradigm PDR-Series PDR-10 Active Powered Subwoofer - tested and working. This is a very clean item. I researched and found that you cannot remove the speaker screen without damaging the unit, which is why I am unable to provide a pic of the actual speaker. I tested it on my home stereo system and the bass sound was rich and full; there was NO rattling that would indicate speaker damage.
