Unfortunately the speaker cones are dented and the one is coming unglued slightly at the top. Please refer to the pictures. The tweeters and subwoofers are undamaged and working. I cannot hear any distortion from the speakers however I am unsure if they sound as they would if the cones were in perfect condition. Has been used so shows signs of use and marks here and there. Another cool design. The Panasonic National RQ-J2 walkman. You get what you see in the pictures nothing more. Welcome and thank you for looking at my auction! For your consideration this vintage Panasonic Boombox!! My dad bought this radio back in the 1980s when I was a kid and he wouldn’t let me turn it up too loud because I was and I still am a Rocker. Eventually I inherited it and I have kept it for many many years. The AM/FM stereo portion of the radio still works wonderfully and it sounds great as you can hear and see in the video. It actually comes with the original power cord. The cassette deck is not working and neither is the battery function. However, I am a rock ‘n’ roll roadie, and I could restore this radio, but rather than do that I am just going to sell it like it is As Is. It wouldn’t take much to get the cassette deck and the battery portion working. It looks like the battery terminal needs a repair and as for the cassette deck well any good radio guy can fix this bad boy. I absolutely adore this radio and they don’t make them like this anymore. I am clearing out a bunch of stuff because I am downsizing to a small house in Miami so this amazing vintage boombox is up for grabs. This radio measures about 16 inches long by 9 inches tall by about 3 1/2 inches wide. It’s a rare bird. The only reason I’m selling it is because I have a gigantic collection of audio equipment and a tiny house in Miami.
