This is a Panasonic RX-ED50 Ghetto blaster or boom box that has been well looked after and has a remote control and is mains / battery operation. Probably one of the last to be produced and comes with a remote control. The sound is good and some features are described below: 1. Both cassette decks are auto reverse and so story tapes will play without having to take the tape out. 2. The CD gives a very clear sound and it plays well but as always, you do need good cds and no point using scratched ones. 3. The radio is very clear and selective and the battery backup for stations is installed. 4. There is an input at the rear for a 3.5mm jack plug that could come from the earphone socket of an ipod or mp3 player and so you can play them though this machine. I recommend that you get the manual from the internet so that the radio presets can be setup. This machine goes very loud BUT on CD the vibration of the speakers causes the cd pickup head to jump. For this to happen it has to be loud and have never had any problem but it might be if you are doing high power dance classes. The tape and radio are not affected by vibration. Any questions?
