This will drop-in to replace your faulty one on the Master Tape Recorder series of Otari machines, reel to reel. THIS IS FOR THE TAKE-UP SIDE (the assemblies differ from side-to side) I had a number of MTR-10 / MTR-12s that I was using and maintaining up until a few years ago, but sold them all off before the pandemic. I was going through my boxes recently and found these spares that I had kept back. These are working assemblies that I kept on hand as drop-in replacements on my working machines as i wanted zero downtime. While i have not checked them since before the pandemic, i see no reason why they would not still be fine, they have been wrapped and stored nicely ever since, I even got them out in the time since and rotated the shafts at least once every 18 months to prevent the magnetisation. Note that one resistor, R32, 4.7 ohms, was replaced on the opposing side of the board (as far as I know this component commonly fails or wears with heat and usage over time on these boards). Otari MTR90II MK2 Complete Refurbished Headblock. This particular headblock was removed from my spares machine and was relapped in 2021 by Terry Summers. Although not original Otari heads In Terry’s words they are ‘long life, Amorphous heads with lots of life left in them’ Since they were relapped in 2021 the headblock hasn’t been used at all as it was for spares only however since my actual machine doesn’t see that much use I don’t really need all the spares. Collect from Blackpool or shipping available. I also have a machine I’m breaking for parts if you need any spares (no audio cards sorry). Thanks
