This phono cartridge, as with the phono cartridge, tonearms, and turntables Ive listed during the past month, belonged to a friends late husband. My friend has entrusted me with the sale of her husbands audio components. Ill be listing a more phono cartridges (mostly MM, but perhaps one more moving coil cartridge as well) and an Adcom preamp during the next few weeks (right now Im using the preamp to test phono cartridges). Please keep an eye on my forthcoming auctions for related items. Back to this Ortofon MC phono cartridge... I installed this cartridge on my setup (see photos for details) and it sounded great. Ill confess I didnt risk using one of my overpriced audiophile LPs (not knowing the styluss wear), but I did have enough confidence in the styluss condition to play a relatively valuable promo LP. I used a digital microscope (one of those cheapies that work quite well) to take the magnified image of the stylus and cantilever. The cantilever is definitely straight and free of distortions (Ive seen ads for similar cartridges, but with bent or dented cantilevers). Im not knowledgeable enough about examining stylii under magnification, so I cant really give offer an expert assessment as to the wear or tear: Please bid with the understanding this phono cartridge is, to my knowledge, used. It does not have an original box, but Ill pack it in a manner that will offer good protection from carriers. Der angebotene Onkyo Vollautomat ist optisch in einem sehr gutem Zustand und läuft einwandfrei. Haube mit diversen Wischspuren & leichten Kratzern keine Risse oder Sprünge, Scharniere fehlen leider!Er hat leider eine kleine Macke, die Startautomatik funktioniert nicht. Bei Tastendruck bewegt er den Arm nur ein Stück zur Platte aber eben nicht ganz, ich habe ihn einfach von Hand aufgesetzt. Sonst funktioniert er einwandfrei search Funktion vorwärts rückwärts (mit der kann man den Arm natürlich auch zur Platte bewegen) Endabschaltung mit Tonarmrückführung alles einwandfrei. Wie gesagt nur den selbständigen Start mag er nicht mehr. Das hochwertige Ortofon TMC200 MC System klingt toll und verspricht noch viele Stunden Musikgenuss.
