Description
Shipping to USA addresses only. Dont bid if you dont have an address in the USA. Contact me if you have a secondary address in the USA (this way I can ensure your bid wont be automatically blocked). I do NOT use stock photos or canned descriptions. The vast majority of buyers want to see an items actual condition, not glossy photos from the manufacturers site. You can find the manufacturers description and specifications via online searches. Pictures may include test equipment, cables, connectors, and auxiliary equipment that are NOT a part of the auction. Read the description carefully so you know exactly what you are bidding on. This listing is for an Oracle Delphi Mark I MK1 turntable that appears to be in good working condition (but it needs a belt). I am selling this for a friend (her husband passed), and is one of a few times I have listed something on behalf of someone else. Because I was not the owner, nor do I know this items complete history, please know this item is being sold strictly AS-IS. Most of the original packaging is included (see photos). Everything is as pictured, so view all photos carefully. Note this listing is ONLY for the turntable; the tonearm, visible in two of the photos, was only partially installed before I brought the turntable home. Because the tonearm is in need of repair, it is being auctioned separately. At least the Oracle Delphi turntable has the template (or mounting base) needed for a Magnepan tonearm (again, the tonearm is NOT included). Additional info: I purchased a belt on eBay that was supposed to be for the Oracle Delphi MK1. It was far too small, and did not work (way too much belt tension!). The original belt (shown in photo) was dry and lacked elasticity. I shortened it a bit by pinching off a section, and then taping it (great fix, eh?). Surprisingly, it worked and the platter rotated at normal speeds (33 and 45 RPM--you can play your Monkees 45s). The motor, when running without the belt, is very quiet. I noticed a small tick tick sound when the belt was installed, but also note the tension was not correct, plus the tape was dangling from the belt and rubbing on other components. The dustcover is clean and looks great. I found the hinges, but two screws that attach the hinges to the turntables base are missing (see photos). Ill look for screws again, but no promises. From what I can tell, the missing screws would be 8-32 x 1/4 or 3/8 long machine screws. As you can see, the screws that affix the hinges to the dustcover are intact; only two other screws are needed. The machined platter is in EXCELLENT condition. The Oracle Groove Isolator mat is in very good condition, but theres a small tear right at the spindle hole (probably from having been pulled off the platter). One of the spring-cylinders seems to have lost its power; consequently, the plinth, which is supported by three cylinders, appears slightly tilted. The mass of the tonearm alone (why I put tonearm in photos) does not level the plinth. I did not attempt adjusting the spring tension on any cylinder, but guessing the left-front cyclinder might be in need of adjustment or repair. (Again, item is being sold as-is because I dont have time to go over this turntable with a fine-toothed comb, nor do I know all of its history beyond the previous owner). The original Oracle AC power adapter works fine, and is intended for 110VAC (meaning its the US version). The Oracle record clamp is included. This is about it, please write if I missed anything important. Reminder: I do not ship to addresses outside of the USA (sorry for this, but eBays so-called International Shipping Program has repeatedly failed me). Thank you for viewing! Im batting 100% positive feedback after nearly two decades of buying and selling on eBay. I kindly leave positive feedback for those who do the same. Some recent feedback (as a seller) includes: Possibly the best seller on eBay Ive dealt with. Highly recommended. / An extremely helpful seller! Thank you for everything. / Great seller! An expert in sound measurement. Very responsive to questions. Prior to my current username, I had over 2000 combined selling and buying reviews with 100% positive feedback (Ive changed my username once or twice over the many years). I do not entertain best offers, nor do I end auctions early. Item will be sold to the high bidder (heck, a single bidder might get a fantastic deal). My auctions are old-fashioned auctions--the way they ought to be. Payments must be received within 72 hours after end of auction. Items not paid for after 72 hours will be re-listed. No returns (buyers remorse shouldnt be the sellers responsibility--see * below). Nothing in this listing is misleading. Photos are an integral part of the description: View all photos carefully. If something isnt clear, write before you bid. I pack items with great care--the same way Id like to receive a delicate or valuable item. Like other sellers, I do not have control over shipping costs or carrier delivery time. Small- and medium-sized items will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Large parcels will be shipped via UPS Ground. Unlike Jeff B, neither eBay nor I operate our own shipping services--this means no prime or overnight shipping. *Heres why I no longer accept returns: Too many bidders with buyers remorse had intentionally damaged perfectly good equipment in order to receive a return. In other instances, buyers were simply incompetent: Equipment was damaged because these buyers did not know how to properly use it; yet, they wanted refunds because of the damage they caused. Bottom line: NO MORE RETURNS! If the wrong item is shipped (I have yet to do this), I will promptly exchange the item and pay for shipping to-and-from the buyer. Please understand what youre buying is USED (unless its clearly stated as new). RE electronics equipment: I encourage all viewers to compare my listings to other sellers listings and photos: If a printed circuit board is on anything other than an ESD mat, then the seller doesnt know how to exercise appropriate ESD precautions. Many electronic devices are easily compromised or destroyed due to improper handling. I use appropriate ESD protection measures when handling static-sensitive equipment. Items that are ESD sensitive will be shipped in anti-static wrapping. On Jul-28-23 at 14:03:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: I located the two missing screws needed to attach the dust covers hinges to the turntable base. You can see details in the last two photos. Note: ebay doesnt permit sellers to delete photos once bids are placed; otherwise, Id remove the photo detailing the missing screws.
