the good - both tweeters are good. the bad - both woofers need new surrounds. one is a 4061 the other a 4061a. seems the change just applies to binding post suppliers on back of cabinet. cabinets have storage scuffs. people use these to extend highend coverage of big horns. what you see is what you get. no grills. they will ship securely packed and protected.

This is a set of 5 used speakers. 4 are RCA 40-5007 speakers with the famed Linaeum tweeters, same design as the radio Shack Optimus Pro Lx5 Speakers. Also included is the 40-5011 Center Speaker, using the same woofers as the others with the Linaeum tweeter. These are Used, and they need to be dusted off and cleaned, some speaker covers are chipped or cracked. Most of the woofers, as is the case with all of these at their age, will need replaced or refoamed because of inevitable cracking. Parts available on eBay and Amazon for speaker replacement, refoaming. You can also find the speaker covers used as well.

One of the most popular products Radio Shack produced was the Optimus Pro Linaeum Series speakers. This is the bookshelf LX5, 8 OHM rated with a two tone black/graphite grey aluminum cabinet. It has the highly regarded Linaeum ribbon tweeter paired with a 5.25 midbass driver. The midbass drivers have been properly refoamed with the surround mounted BEHIND the lip of the woofer cone, assuring factory spec excursion. They are in nice cosmetic condition with minimal scratches and blemishes. The dimensions are 9 X 6 X 6 and weigh app. 13 LBS. each.Vintage audio equipment is sold as is with no warranties or returns. This is a really cool pair of speakers that need some help! This is a set of Optimus Pro LX5 speakers that need to be refoamed or have speakers replaced which I dont have the time to do. Given the current state of the speaker surrounds I have not tested these out. Cool design, the enclosures are die-cast aluminum in matte gray finish - each one weighs over 6 pounds! The top metal mesh grill houses the Linaeum Tweeters that is the key feature people seem to like about these speakers. Will ship these UPS ground, well packaged.
