Das Gerät wurde selten und das Laufwerk dabei fast gar nicht benutzt, da ich größtenteils die ISO-Funktion via USB-Festplatte genutzt habe!Allein die Besonderheiten dieses Geräts aufzuzählen, würde schon einen Roman verursachen, geschweige denn die Funktionen, die er bereits ab Werk besitzt.Ich beschränke mich daher auf die Dinge, die das Gerät von der Standardausführung unterscheiden. Er verfügt nämlich über eine spezielle Firmware, die die einzig übrig gebliebenen Einschränkungen des Geräts auch noch beheben (siehe Bild 3):- Der Player ist komplett regionfree und codefree, kann also Blurays aller Regionen und DVDs aller Codes abspielen! Dies ist unfassbar wertvoll besonders für Horror-Fans oder Importsammler, da einfach ALLES Medien mit dem UDP-205 abgespielt werden können.- Der Player kann ISO-Dateien von USB-Sticks und Festplatten abspielen, sprich digitale Sicherungen, sogar mit kompletter Menüstruktur wie vom Originalmedium!- Für Audio-Liebhaber und Exoten: Er kann nicht nur SACDs abspielen, sondern auch das selbstgebrannte Format SACD-R! - und noch vieles mehr!Alle weiteren Qualitäten dieser eierlegenden Wollmilchsau sind in den Lobeshymnen im Netz zu Genüge zu finden!Das Gerät kommt in der Originalverpackung mit allem Zubehör, also Fernbedienung, Netzkabel und auch einem USB-Stick mit der dazugekauften Spezialfirmware. It was used only rarely, with the drive actually being almost as new! I almost exclusively used the ISO playback function via USB, meaning the laser has barely lost any of its expected lifetime.It would take a novel just to list the special features of this device, let alone the functions it already has out of the box. I will therefore limit myself to the things that distinguish the device from the standard version. It has a special firmware that eliminates the only remaining limitations of the device (see image 3): - The player is completely regionfree and codefree, meaning it can play Blurays of all regions and DVDs of all codes! This is incredibly valuable, especially for horror fans or import collectors, as simply ANY media can be played with the UDP-205. - The player can play ISO files from USB and hard drives, i.e. digital backups, even with the complete menu structure as from the original medium! - For audio lovers and exotics: It can not only play SACDs, but also the self-burned format SACD-R! - and much more! All the other qualities of this jack of all trades can be found in the hymns of praise on the net!
