Up for sale is an Onkyo EQ-35 Equalizer in excellent physical and working condition. I am selling the unit As Is with no returns do to possible issues with the unit. The EQ has always put out fantastic sound quality. I used this for many years and the sound has always been perfect. I started hearing static and found that the issue only happened when the lights were illuminated on the bands. I used it with the lights off for years with no sound problems after that. I upgraded my system and have stored the EQ for the last few years. I took it out a couple of weeks ago and it still sounds great. It also sounds great with the band light illuminated. I dont have a technical explanation for that. Maybe all it needed was a good cleaning. One thing for sure is the sound is great with the band lights off. When the lights on the ends of the freq slides are on there is a slight hum. You can turn the LEDs off.. no hum. Other than that it’s very nice and sounds great.

Vintage Onkyo Integra Model EQ-35 12 Band Stereo Graphic Equalizer EQ - READ Vintage item. Test details described below (needs repair). When the Display: Right button is toggled on, a continuous static/crackling noise is heard on all Right Channel outputs over the audio being played. This noise is not heard when using the device as a passthrough (Source direct to output or tape) only when audio is running through EQ effect. Left channel is not affected, Left Display button does not have this problem. Issue affects Tape and Main outputs on the Right channel when the EQ effect is active. Turning off the Display Right button immediately stops noise, audio is normal.The display switches only toggle the LEDs shown on the respective Left or Right channel sliders (Each frequency has 2 sliders for L & R)Both display switches can be off and the EQ will function (The slider lights will be off, however)All inputs & outputs working.All sliders and controls working.Inner light tube sections missing from 4 sliders (on far right) all LEDs working but those 4 are only visible from direct front.Power light and confirmed all icon lights in Operation Mode display are working. Search the power on and light up, but several buttons are broken off of it and I am unable to test it beyond. Turning it on. See photos. Some scuffs and scratches.

6 of the switches are missing their light up tips but are still adjustable with a tool. A few of the other switches have tips that broke off and are loosely reattached. They are adjustable as is, but its difficult without a tool, and they are fragile. All of the attached switches light up, but the 64hz pair glows lighter than the other ones. The equalizer input and output jacks on the back have been tested and work. I couldnt get sound out of the tape input and rec jacks. This may be due to me hooking them up wrong or lacking the proper equipment, or they could be broken. The 125Hz to 8000Hz switches have been tested and work. As for the 16, 32, 64, 16k, and 32k switches, I couldnt tell if adjusting them affected the audio out or not. This is likely due to the speakers i was using, but it is possible they arent working. No cables or other accessories are included other than the attached power cable

It works great, but it does have some cosmetic flaws. Five of the adjustment levers are missing the tip, and one doesnt light up anymore. Check out pictures for cosmetic condition. ONKYO INTEGRA EQ-540 Stereo Equalizer w. Composite wood side panels, tested! Unit is tested and working, it does have the composite side panels which are hard to find! There is some dust underneath the glass of the led display, see close up photos. All of the slider led lights work properly. I cleaned the unit pretty good but there’s still some minor dust behind the sliders. Took the cover off and cleaned the inside, I took some photos of the inside so you can see the boards, they are clean. Ready to go and run in your system. There’s some normal scratches here and there to the metal and a few marks on the faux wood panels, but overall in nice condition. Please see all photos!
