Up for sale is an Onkyo EQ-35 Equalizer in excellent physical and working condition. I am selling the unit As Is with no returns do to possible issues with the unit. The EQ has always put out fantastic sound quality. I used this for many years and the sound has always been perfect. I started hearing static and found that the issue only happened when the lights were illuminated on the bands. I used it with the lights off for years with no sound problems after that. I upgraded my system and have stored the EQ for the last few years. I took it out a couple of weeks ago and it still sounds great. It also sounds great with the band light illuminated. I dont have a technical explanation for that. Maybe all it needed was a good cleaning. One thing for sure is the sound is great with the band lights off. 6 of the switches are missing their light up tips but are still adjustable with a tool. A few of the other switches have tips that broke off and are loosely reattached. They are adjustable as is, but its difficult without a tool, and they are fragile. All of the attached switches light up, but the 64hz pair glows lighter than the other ones. The equalizer input and output jacks on the back have been tested and work. I couldnt get sound out of the tape input and rec jacks. This may be due to me hooking them up wrong or lacking the proper equipment, or they could be broken. The 125Hz to 8000Hz switches have been tested and work. As for the 16, 32, 64, 16k, and 32k switches, I couldnt tell if adjusting them affected the audio out or not. This is likely due to the speakers i was using, but it is possible they arent working. No cables or other accessories are included other than the attached power cable

When the Display: Right button is toggled on, a continuous static/crackling noise is heard on all Right Channel outputs over the audio being played. This noise is not heard when using the device as a passthrough (Source direct to output or tape) only when audio is running through EQ effect. Left channel is not affected, Left Display button does not have this problem. Issue affects Tape and Main outputs on the Right channel when the EQ effect is active. A coworker cut the power cord off this equalizer before I had a chance to plug it in and test it. I see no indication that it has issues other than the power cord, but I dont know for sure that it works.
