Onkyo P-3060 Preamplifier. Working, tested, and refurbished. Ready to go to a vinyl lover or someone who appreciates a good preamp. The Onkyo P-3060 is simply a great preamplifier. Just look at the pictures and you can see how robust and thoughtful the circuit design was, specifically the shielded phono stage and the alps volume potentiometer. It even has a shielded transformer thats quite large for a preamplifier. The phono stage is the standout feature, its fully discrete and has both MC and MM options with selectable capacitance, this can accommodate basic to boutique cartridges. The phono stage is dead quiet and has lots of detail. It rivals the best phono stages from yamaha and other brands. One unique thing about the P-3060 is that you can connect two record players at once. It has the typical inputs and tone controls youd expect in a premium preamp with a few additional features such as reverse stereo mode, phono 1&2 button, subsonic filter, and a special connection for onkyo power amps that simulate a XLR (my guess) to only onkyo power amps called super servo. Soundwise this has a big and bold sound, is non fatiguing, and has good stereo imaging. I did some work on this: i sprayed the potentiometers with deoxit to ensure crackle free sound, i also consulted the service manual and set the center voltage and adjusted the equalizer amp sections per the service manual. I also replaced only the burned out bulbs with modern LEDs that will last forever. Returns arent accepted. All dales final.
