ODYSSEY AUDIO STRATOS PLUS STEREO POWER AMPLIFIER This amplifier is in very good condition and works beautifully. It comes with user manual and original box. It has one small ding to the underside left-hand of the faceplate, which can be seen only on close examination and looking from underneath. This is not serious at all and, if you wish, I can take extra close-ups for your peace of mind. If youre reading this, youll know that this is a really fine amplifier which can easily drive almost any speakers and is load stable to 2 Ohms. The amp operates in class A/AB. Its150watts per channel rating does not say anything about their enormous, high current delivery. I used this amp to drive ATC SCM20 speakers (which are rated at 83dB) to impossibly high levels without any strain or change in tonal balance/soundstage. Also their use of massive and expensive capacitors, ie 120000uF, gives them the capacity to effect enormous dynamic swings and an ease of presentation irrespective of volume. The Absolute Sound magazine has praised the Stratos amps for years and its been their Editors Choice.UK shipping will be by Parcelforce Express AM at a cost of £40. No international shipping, sorry.

Odyssey Audio Monoblock Pair. If you are looking at these, most likely you know that they are one of the biggest bangs for your buck in hi fi audio. They’ve been compared to amplifiers 2 x their price or more. Odyssey produces a loudspeaker that they call ‘Liquid’ and that’s how I would describe the sound of these. I am the second owner and they are serial numbers 5095 and 5096. They are not quite ‘Kismet’, which is Odyssey’s top of the line but they are close and can be easily upgraded through Odyssey. Odyssey offers the best and most personalized customer service of any audio company I have dealt with. The invoice pictured here shows that this pair sold for over $4000 new. Here’s your chance to have them at your door for less than half that. They were used for about a year in a smoke free home with a pair of Spatial Audio M3 Triode Master speakers, which was a fantastic pairing. They will be shipped in their original boxes and the sale includes the original heavy duty power cords. Unfortunately I am moving into a space where I won’t be able to make full use of these.
