I have not tested this unit. It does look clean inside with no battery corrosion and no signs of someone mucking with the circuit board. it has a seriously long extendable antenna the tip seems to be piece of brass hardware that I dont think is original the antenna does appear to full length and intact.

This is a Choke about 13 HY at NO CURRENT DCR about 225 ohms.
