Fun little project for any NHT enthusiast!!! Just add some woofers from your existing vintage SuperZero or order new v2.1 woofers from the NHT parts department (slight enclosure trimming required). Or get some kind of upgrade from Dayton Audio. I believe the reference series may flush-fit with some addition of wood filler. These definitely have some dings and dents from the last 25 years, but are still pretty nice overall. WAY more solid than the newest version SuperZero enclosures from China (thinner mdf with small braces added to try to compensate). Expect to sand these and add some rub-on polyurethane in order to get the enclosures looking nicer. And as always, the old grilles on these are very fragile. It is also known that the problem of bass depth cant be solved only with the help of bass-reflex. By the way, about acoustic design: in addition to sugar-white finish of the body the speaker systems are available with black lacquered surface. We will firstly note that SuperOne organizes a really good stereo panorama, stage space is volumetric, uniformly and also detailed and quite transparent. This combination of features, infrequent in such small sized system, contributes well to reaching of participation and involvement effect. SuperOne transfers both male and female vocal with a peculiar expression. The voice is rich with hints, full of bright details that enhance the illusion of authenticity. Noting the transparency of the image of stage space, we cant not to say about good transparency of the image to a wider extent, taking into account the ability of the system to remember about subtle, barely visible sometimes details against the background of large music masses. But the range of volume level is narrow when this feature especially amazes. High frequencies fill the sound with air, make it open but with a bit excessive diligence. We can say that basses for such baby and without low-frequency resonator are good. SuperOne is a very nice variant of small system for the listener with wide musical tastes. Do not forget about its theatrical destiny.

Used in good condition they both work perfectly. Some minor scuffs and scratches. Both speaker grills have broken frames at the top as seen in pics. Can be glued to fix but hardly noticeable when put in place on speakers.
