For sale are 3 B&K Sonata Series M-200 mono block amplifiers. These amps were tested and are fully functional utilizing RCA or XLR inputs. These mono blocks produced clean, quiet and powerful sound during my testing. Considered audiophile amps, some specifications include 200 watts @8 ohms, 400 watts @4 ohms, 0.09 THD, 95db signal to noise, 1-100,000 frequency response. These mono blocks were produced in 1987 - 1990, weigh 19.5 kg (42.9 lbs) and were made in the USA. Interesting is these amps have sequential serial numbers of 967, 968, and 969. This is the first time I have seen stereo equipment serial numbers without a series of zeroes and numbers, and simply 3 digits. Sorry but there is no box, manual or any other accessories, however I will provide a power cord. Because of their weight, this is a pick up sale. You can purchase 1, 2 or all 3 amps for $500 each. These amps had a MSRP of $1999 a set when new and I have seen a pair of these in other sites (HiFi Shark and US Audio Mart) sell for $1200 - $1300 used and in similar condition as these. We have very carefully just removed this stunning conditiion and totally original and unmolested Dynatron LF48 power amp and it’s matching T57A tuner/pre from it’s cabinet… it is an exceptional, corosion free example… the finest i have ever seen. apart from the normal paint chips around the mounting holes, it has very little else in the way of cosmetic imperfections. All we have done testing wise is gently wake it up on the variac, we had some sound from the tuner, so basically working, all transformers seem to be ok, otherweise no further testing has been carried out, as this will need to be recapped/internally restored before use, as it is. so is sold for restoration due to being from 1954... valve line-up seems original. All paper work is also included, which is incredible… One for the serious collector. Please inspect the pictures (please also use the zoom function on the photos) and be sure of what you are buying, please don’t buy this if you are at all unsure, I will answer any questions you have, just email BEFORE PURCHASING.
