Good condition vintage Nakamichi Receiver 2 made in Japan circa 1990. Similar yet better to the successor Nakamichi RE-2 receiver which came out in 1992. Ive thoroughly sprayed out all the potentiometers / buttons with CRC QD contact cleaner and lubricated them with DeoxIT F100L lube however the balance pot still seems to be a bit touchy where the left channel will go out. If one presses and/or wiggles it lightly the left channel will come back and often will stay on at length however if the balance or volume is bumped it will go out again then one must repeat the pressing/wiggling until it comes back on. It may in fact need a new pot or there is something else going out with how the volume and balance may interact as I notice a couple of wires that go behind the volume dial and Im not sure what that is for. Other than that slight glitch everything else including AM/FM, Phono, CD, Tape, Video works well and overall it has a superb sound.Radio memory presets functions flawlessly as I’ve replaced the Li-ion coin cell battery with a new one. Vintage Nakamichi Compact Receiver System 1, CD Cassette Player 1, 2 Speakers, all Owners Manuals, and other Paperwork that came with Set Up. Remote has never had batteries in it and a lot of this system was never even hooked up so not sure it was ever used. Had very little dust on speakers only. Other than plugging in Receiver & CD Cassette Play I have not tested anything..To be honest I dont have any Cassettes or CDs :) . Condition is everything and cannot imagine why any of these pieces are not working properly.
