Hi there--Im selling a vintage Nakamichi MR1 Cassette Deck. Appears to be in very good cosmetic condition. Plugged in and powers on and counter spins when Play/Forward/Reverse are pressed. I dont even have a tape to test this further. This came from the local college theater club when they upgraded all their equipment. They labeled all of their non functioning equipment--this was not labeled with any issues. That being said since I cant thoroughly test it out I am selling it for parts as/is. Thanks

Nice Mr-1 white dot version here. Was working when I bought it. Does not play or ff/rewind now, but all the lights work and shouldnt be a huge fix? Not sure. Is a project I have to let go of... check the pics, what you see is what you get! and what you see is: WHITE DOT version of this deck which means it records in exactly the format that it plays on ALL OTHER DECKS... not the case for ones without the dot...look it up! Notice it does have some etching on the cassette door, but the cassette door can be easily replaced! Also, no feet, but does include actual rack handles! also, does not have the cassette well back plate, I took it off thinking I would try and fix t and lost it! no biggie tho, you can actually see the GEAR DRIVE back there, not the idler wheel version...such a better version to have the gear drive... also, includes actual XLR cables and rack handles! Nice Mr-1 white dot version here. Was working when I bought it. Does not play or ff/rewind now, but all the lights work and shouldnt be a huge fix? Not sure. Is a project I have to let go of... check the pics, what you see is what you get! and what you see is: WHITE DOT version of this deck which means it records in exactly the format that it plays on ALL OTHER DECKS... not the case for ones without the dot...look it up! Notice it does have some etching on the cassette door, but the cassette door can be easily replaced! Also, no feet, but does include actual rack handles! also, does not have the cassette well back plate, I took it off thinking I would try and fix t and lost it! no biggie tho, you can actually see the GEAR DRIVE back there, not the idler wheel version...such a better version to have the gear drive... also, includes actual XLR cables and rack handles! again, check the pics for all condition issues and things included. Nakamichi DR-1 Three Head Cassette Deck. This particular unit is part of my own stereo system. The DR-1 was the last 3 head, high-end cassette deck Nakamichi made. I rarely used this unit when it was new, and I havent turned it on many years. I just was never into tapes. I went to use it a few weeks ago and although it works in Rew/FF it does not work in Play. Thought of having the belts replaced, but there is no one local to do that work anymore, plus I never use it. So up for auction it goes. I removed the top cover and sure enough the thick belt thats visible from the top looking down has dissolved (picture #7). As previously stated, this deck only has a total of 10-25 hours of use.
