I am the original owner of this deck. It was one of three cassette decks that I owned and was well-maintained over the years (regularly cleaned the heads and demagnetized them). I had not used it for a long while. In recent days I have tested it, and it functions perfectly. Playback is very good. I recorded a Beethoven sonata from a CD, and even on a low noise tape it sounded good to my ears. It will be carefully packed, shipped and insured.

Kassettendeck Nakamichi CR-1E Mit CR-1-typischem Motorproblem - fr Bastler eine Kleinigkeit (siehe WWW). Das Deck lief bis vor kurzem noch, dann bekam es die typischen Startschwierigkeiten... jetzt schafft der Motor es nicht mehr: beim Play-drcken springt der Motor (Foto 2) zwar an, schafft es aber nicht mehr, alles in Gang zu bringen. Sonst in gutem gebrauchten Zustand: ein paar Kratzer hier und da, aber nix groes. Der Haltemechanismus der Scheibe der Klappe war gebrochen, so dass ich sie mit Expoxidharz geklebt habe; leider ist sie beim Trocknen leicht verrutscht und man sieht Klebespuren Rand (Foto 3). After a very long process, the overhaul was completed in June 2023. Receipt is included which details the work done on this deck. Runs on 240V AC but a 120-240 converter is included. Flawless operational condition. Better than new (because of the never-burnt color-matched LED etc). Deck itself is also in wonderful physical condition. The wood cabinet has more wear and scratches but overall still very good. You are not to find another one of these any time soon. I have another 1000ZXL which is more than enough for me.
