This is a phenomenal NAIM stand - with isolation spikes. This, I am told, is super rare. This particular stand came directly from Julian Veleker back in the 80’s when welcoming one of the first NAIM dealers in the US, based out of Monterey, CA. The stand is in fine shape functionally, but while it looks great with NAIM gear, the independent shelves do have scratches from gear over the years. As is for the stand only. If shipping is required, please do not expect costs to be $150. It does come apart so may not be terribly expensive. Stand is 30” in height, with spikes installed. It is 22.75” wide, 18.50” total depth. As currently configured, the bottom two shelves offer 6 7/8th spacing while the top offers 4 7/8ths. This is the first model of the British Naim Audio integrated amplifier, featuring a simple design and compact size with a built-in phono equalizer (MM). It is surrounded by an aluminum plate approximately 0.16 inches thick, embodying a minimalist approach without unnecessary functions or circuits. The manufacturer focuses purely on sound quality, lacking a speaker protection circuit. Recently, a respect model called NATE50 was released with the same design, and while its internals have been upgraded, the essence remains. The compact dimensions are as follows: height 11 inches, width 8.2 inches, and depth 3.1 inches. Serial number: 30951, operating at 100V. Note that the power indicator lamp is slightly recessed due to being pushed in, likely due to a child. It is believed that removing the screws from the rear insulator will allow access to push it back into place. The amplifier powers on correctly and produces sound without issues, although the rubber part of the rear insulator has aged. As of today (12/12), it has been tested with Rogers speakers and is in full working condition. The next owner is encouraged to take good care of it. Included are two genuine Naim speaker cables, Naim NACK4, each measuring 16.4 feet, along with an Audio-Technica gold-plated 5-pin output speaker cable (which should be upgraded).
