Offered with its original metal case & sleeve along with its user manual. Described by Naim as: The Hi-Line Air-PLUG (patented) is designed as a decoupling device to minimise microphonic interference and preserve the integrity of the audio signal. The many different rear sections of the Air-PLUG are clipped together to form a lossy flexible section. The cable is clamped compliantly to the end of this flexible section. The cable itself was also carefully designed to preserve audio signal integrity so improving sound quality. It is manufactured from twisted pairs of 80 Litz conductors surrounded by PTFE, Kapton and PTFE tape all then enclosed within a semi conductive shield to reduce static charges. This is then wrapped by two spiral wound copper shields and lapped PTFE tape. Two of these assemblies side by side are then wrapped in layers of PTFE tape and finally a rubber outer covering. This gives a two-channel cable where the signal and RF grounds are held in a static position relative to each other negating any difference in field between them. During the development of the reference CD555 CD player, a special project ran in parallel; to develop a new signal cable that would exceed the performance our standard signal cable. The brief was to investigate all parameters of a signal carrier; to improve the whole rather than just improving the cable as is the more normal development practice. The result of this pure development project is the Hi-Line signal cable. Naim Hi-Line 5 Pin - 5 Pin DIN Cable - 1.2m length RRP £919 I have used this cable happily to connect my NDX2 and 282 for some 4 years or so now during which time the cable has been permanently in situ. The Hi-Line produces a very significant improvement in SQ over the standard Naim interconnect . I am only selling now as I have been able to upgrade to the Naim Super Lumina version of this cable. As you can see the cable has been well looked after and really looks pretty much as it did when I bought it . Comes complete with Naim Tin Box and Sleeve , Manual and Brown Outer Box with the Naim stickers .

Naim Hi-Line 5 Pin DIN - 5 Pin DIN Interconnect Genuine Naim cable in excellent condition Manufactured in 2019 (latest spec) With inner and outer boxes With manual and warning sheet 5-Pin DIN to 5-Pin DIN 1.25 m length (regular length) New price £899 Length - 1.25m About this Hi-Line This is a genuine Naim Hi-Line lead for connecting Naim sources (such as CD players or streamers) to Naim amps - although it will work with any 5-Pin DIN to 5-Pin DIN (180) components. This model dates from 2019 so benefits from the latest spec, packaging and serial number (earlier versions didn’t feature a serial number). This example is in excellent condition and damage free. Due to the delicate nature of the Air-PLUGs, it’s not usual for the ‘tail’ to become broken when being unplugged. This example has immaculate plugs and cable that’s free from any kinks or other damage. It’s supplied with all its original packaging, including the inner box with foam and cardboard outer. The cable is also supplied with its original manual (UK and German) and warning note - this has very important guidance on handling the cable, so is crucial to read before use. About the Hi-Line cable The Naim Hi-Line interconnect was developed alongside Naim’s ultimate CD player - the CD555. Although it’s optimised for this player, it was also used in the development of other Naim products such as the NDS and NDX streamers. It’s designed to compliment Naim electronics and, therefore, any Naim component benefits from this cable. Key to the design are the decoupled Air-PLUGs. Although these are a little delicate and ‘lose’ feeling, they reduce vibrations from being transmitted along the cable. Unlike the basic Naim interconnects, the plugs don’t lock to the socket , which again helps reduce microphonic interference. The cable itself uses 80 Litz conductors, well protected by PTFE, Kapton and PTFE. It’s then shielded in semi-conductive shield to reduce static charge. This is again wrapped by two spiral wound copper shields and lapped by PTFE. Twin cores are used, meaning the signal and RF grounds are held in a static position, negating any difference in field between them. It takes skill and patience to hand assemble these cables, hence the new price of £899.
