Ive had this tuner for a long time. It came to me with its marks on the casing but Ive done my best to look after it whilst its been in my posession. I dont think Ive seen another one since. I first heard this tuner about 20 years ago and was absolutely blown away by its performance. I was amazed when I found one for sale a few months later - I had to have it. The FMT 2 does have a problem where it doesnt produce any output till after its warmed up - usually about 2 or 3 mins after being switched on. I contacted Nytech who still service Ion Systems and Nytech equipment and they said they could repair it. I havent got around to sending it to them. They also advised that issue is definitely going to be with the FMT and not the X-PAK. This hasnt bothered me that much in the past because Ive just powered it up and given it a couple of minutes to warm up. Its always been the same for years and well worth the wait, however it would be nice to have the remedial work done as its a very special piece of British Hi-fi. Apparently this tuner was known as the Naim Beater - I can see why. Local collection welcome from SS1 or I can post.

NAIM NAT 03 FM stereo tuner (olive). Im selling my favorite tuner, a Naim NAT 03 after deciding to thin the herd of stereo components that I own. I bought this tuner about 15 years ago from an authorized dealer. I have owned a dozen tuners over the years, and this is my favorite- its much better than anything made in Japan, and is more musically involving than any McIntosh tuner. In dieser Auktion: NAIM UnitiQute HighEnd All-in-one Vollverstärker mit - WLAN Streamer - DA Wandler - FM/DAB Radio - USB/iPod Super HighEnd All-in-one Lösung von NAIM Audio, Made in England. Ich habe ihn bis vor kurzem als Digitalen Zuspieler in meiner HighEnd Anlage verwendet. Habe mir jetzt von NAIM die größere Variante mit CD Player zugelegt, ansonsten hätte ich den UnitiQute reparieren lassen. Hat stets einen mega Klang geliefert, der typische NAIM Sound, sehr dynamisch mit knackigem Bass und bester Auflösung. Optisch sieht der UnitiQute aus wie neu, ich habe keine Macken erkennen können. Technisch jedoch defekt! … Zuerst lief das Display nicht mehr, welches ich noch selber austauschen wollte, was recht einfach zu machen ist. Doch beim Anschluss des neuen Verstärkers, ist irgendetwas in dem Gerät verschmort, was ich mir nicht erklären kann. Das muss an den Cinch Steckern passiert sein … weil ich in dem Moment an dem Gerät selber gar nichts getan habe, sondern an dem Verstärker, den ich ausgetauscht hatte … Vielleicht könnt ihr damit etwas anfangen? Ich hatte daraufhin das Gerät geöffnet und nichts erkennen können … siehe Bilder. Deswegen verkaufe ich den NAIM als defekt. Denke jedoch, dass lediglich ein kleines Teil kaputt gegangen sein wird und lässt sich von einem Fachmann sicherlich schnell reparieren. Ansonsten gibt’s im Netz viel über den UnitiQute viel zu lesen, super Tests von renommierten HiFi Magszinen, in testberichte.de … etc. Wünsche viel Erfolg beim Bieten! Naim NAT 05 FM Tuner in good working order, a stunning sounding British made tuner from Naim Item is in excellent condition with no scratches. It comes fully working with original box and Crabtree mains lead. There is no remote control but can be operated by all standard Naim remotes.

This Naim NAT 05 tuner comes with remote control, and a professionally made Naim DIN-to-phono adapter cable. It is being sold by my father in Portsmouth who looks after his hifi equipment very well indeed.
