Wrap over aluminum case, tuned suspension. Front loader, which means CD is mounted in a manual swing opening drawer rather than a motorised sled, CD being kept in place with a magnetic puck as in the more expensive Naim top loaders, rather than an internal clamp . All intended to remove a set of motor voltages and magnetic field from the CD player, and isolate the disc from vibration. DAC (digital to analogue converter) is the famous Philips TDA1541 S1 (16 Bit) and the transport is the swing arm Philips CDM9. Analogue output is the standard Naim 180 degree 5 pin DIN socket; there is no digital output on the CD3. There is no power supply upgrade socket either.
