Not to mention their high current and very heavy Holmgren Toroidal Power Transformers; so, there is no doubt I could have very little to add. For the past several years this amp has had a very easy life, powering only the tweeters in bi-amped speakers. It was working flawlessly when I disconnected and packed it back in its original factory packaging. I lost track of the original Owners Manual years ago, and have been using the one that is included, which is only a printout of the NAD .pdf file (link above). I am aware of only a few minimal flaws in the case (see image #6). There is a small scratch on the front panel, which has been touched up with matching paint. I had a really tough time finding a flash setting that would even allow it to show. There are additionally a couple of minor marks on the side panel from where I had mounted NAD rack handles. Denn in einem CD-Player kommt vieles zusammen: Mechanik sowie Analog- und Digitaltechnik. So hat jeder Parameter Auswirkung auf das klangliche Ergebnis und fordert höchste Aufmerksamkeit bei der Entwicklung. Um Störeinflüsse durch externe Vibrationen zu vermeiden und die genaue Einbringung des Laufwerks zu ermöglichen, ist beispielsweise ein solides Gehäuse und eine möglichst präzise mechanische Fertigung notwendig. Nur so lässt sich eine maximale Laufruhe erzielen und die Anzahl von Lesefehlern minimieren. Für die beste Performance kommen daher Formen aus resonanzarmem Kunststoff und Stahl zum Einsatz. Das Laufwerk ist auf Schienen aus gehärtetem Stahl angebracht und die gesamte Konstruktion des Players wird von über 30 Verbindungen gehalten, um für maximale Stabilität zu sorgen.
