NAD PPe2 phono preamplifier. Was using this with my NAD T744 AV receiver. NAD was renowned for their photo preamp sections of their receivers and integrated amplifiers in the 1980s and 1990s. New receivers dont have phono preamp sections, and these record decks for sale with USB cables and such have garbage phono sections, too. his is a very good Stereo/ProLogic amplifier, NADs best Dolby ProLogic amplifier so far.It plays very well in Stereo mode, you will be amazed of how powerful and good it sounds. The sound image is a bit on the warm side.You cant get any better amplifier in this price class.NAD chose to use a ANALOG Dolby ProLogic decoder because it gives much better sound quality than the DIGITAL ProLogic decoder.The DIGITAL ProLogic decoder has several A/D and D/A transformers that only can damage(and will if theyre not of very high quality) the sound image/quality.You can crank the volume as much as you want without thinking about damaging your speakers(tweeters) because of hard clipping, when you have NADs software clipping activated. If this amplifier for some reason doesnt give enough power to run all your speakers, connect extra amplifiers to the pre-outs to run them (for all channels).
