NAD is considered a high-end audio company that sells a lot of high-end amplifiers among other audio devices. The prices are however much more favorable and affordable with regards to the quality and most of their receivers under $1000 cannot find competitors in the market even at higher prices. It’s extremely clean for how old it is (1985).

Here is a vintage integrated amplifier by NAD, serviced and upgraded to include an in built dual mono Bluetooth Receiver. The 7130 model was built initially as a receiver, that is to say it had an AM and FM radio tuner inside it, but sadly this has suffered a failure, that as it turns out is probably unrepairable due to the unavailability of an IC controller chip that tunes to various world market frequency bands. When this IC component failed, it rendered the tuner section in-operable, but the actual amplifier section was completely intact and fully working, so i sat it on shelf for a rainy day project. I came across it again a couple of weeks ago and decided it was time to do something with it, so i thought why not sacrifice the radio tuner section in favour of a bluetooth receiver to bring this lovely, well respected amplifier bang up to date! So thats what i did, which includes a new independent power supply that piggy backs off the incoming mains, feeding the self contained pcb for the bluetooth receiver, which then feeds its audio straight into the Video channel input. This has worked out great, as it doesnt interfere with any other channel or source when not in use, so the rest of the amp can behave as it should with inputs for turntable, tape deck, cd player etc, but with the added bonus of playing whatever media and music you may have stored, or streamable from spotify, tidal, tune in for digital radio channels and so on, and replay that through the full glory of a quality vintage amplifier. Now hear your digital music library as the artist intended, rather than a tinny little counter top box or headphone etc! Ok, it started out as a bit of fun, but its worked out well and sounds great. Its very much a chinese wonder, the accented voice to confirm pairing is quite funny, the range isnt great but the audio is good, and im thoroughly enjoying using it in the workshop Should make an interesting little system for not a lot of money. In good overall condition aesthetically, a few marks, scratches to the top of the case but still a respectable bit of hifi. This can be fully demonstrated if collected from me in Nottingham (O7875749472) to arrange, alternatively i can package and dispatch for the quoted amount.
