12/6/2023 Update: I have upgraded the 4 trimmers for Power Amp Bias and Offsets to multi turn equivalents. They allow for more precise adjustments that will not be rattled out of spec. Greetings EU and other 220V eBayers! This ones for you. I bought this NAD 7220PE 220V unit long ago for parts, but found it to be in such good condition that I couldnt bear to break it down. So I recapped it instead! The audio caps have been upgraded to nichicon MUSE BP and Fine Gold Audio, while the Power supply caps are nichicon, Rubycon, Panasonic, and CDE/Ilinois Capacitor. I also removed the PE Fuses to reconfigure this unit as a 7020e, which is literally a 3020e and a 4220 Tuner with separate Power Supply. Ill put them back in on request, but I do this whenever the original Power Amp transistors are all still intact to preserve and protect them from the excessive PE Voltage Rails that can drive them beyond their safe area and cause them to fail. It also more closely emulates the operation and performance of the iconic 3020 Power Amp. Some claim the original RCA output transistors in this unit to be the best. For added versatility, I have repurposed the (fixed line level) Tape Output RCA Jacks to be the (variable level) Preamp Outputs suitable for a powered Subwoofer, external Power Amp, etc. Ive been testing them with my Boston Acoustics HD5 Bookshelfs and Velodyne Subwoofer. They are equivalent to the Preamp Outputs on the 7225PE / 3225PE which also allows this unit to be used as a Preamp only. Cosmetically, this unit is very clean and looks great except for a few scratches on the top/side cover. Full refund within 60 days. Buyer pays return shipping. NAD 7020 Stereo Receiver Amplifier with integrated tuner. This unis has developed an intermittent background interference noise which usually happens at lower volumes. This goes when the unit has warmed up after about 10 mins or sooner if the volume is louder but can return. I believe this is one of the capacitors now failing which is an easy component to change if you know how. Otherwise a very good sounding receiver. Cosmetically I’ve looked after this very well, no scratches or dents, located in a non smoking home. Would prefer collection for free, or I can post but buyer will have to pay. NAD 7020 receiver Parts not working. Condition is For parts or not working. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Item is powering on but thats about it. Im getting sound through the headphones. But its a lot of hissing sounds. I didnt have an FM antenna hooked up. Once an item is being sold for parts we dont do any more in-depth testing than this and we dont promise anything either so dont ask. Button is broken on the front.
