Nad 5200 (RAREST you will find). Its come time to part with my nice nad 5200/Toshiba cd player. Works flawless. Just given it a quick once over but its solid. Early 1980s machine. First from nad doors. All Toshiba based under the lid. No gimmicks. No oversampling. Just plain compact disc. Sounds wonderful though. Warm with just clear minds and treble. It wont read cd-rs or well to that matter. Maybe on odd occasion but its not designed for it. These were pre-recorded cd designed machines. Now for the interesting part. This machine is not run of the mill 5200 model. This one has the graphics in different places on the front panel. A black instead of green power button. A white instead of green display filter. No serial number and marking for R&L on rca outputs think from a factory perspective. Possibly an editor machine used for testing with the hifi magazine companies on a pre production basis. All I know is that Ive yet to find another the same. Im pricing this due to its rarity. Its not pristine but fairly decent. Any silly offers wont be accepted. Its one of a kind.
