Description
Hi, Thanks for taking a look at my auction, this auction is for a NAD 3045 V2.0 Digital Amplifier If youre looking at the advert, then Id imagine you already what this amplifier is and why its considered so special, but just in case. This is the NAD 3045 V2, the bigger brother of the award winning NAD 3020i amplifier. Circa £700/800 when new, this little powerhouse still sells for £400/500+ because its size, aesthetic and punch it can deliver. What HiFi 4 Star Review: It’s a smooth balance, with plenty of detail across the frequency range. Given the arsenal of connections, wired and wireless, that the D 3045 possesses, it would be unfair to compare it directly with a more traditional full-size analogue amplifier at this price, but there is no feeling of insight being lacking, or balance being skewed in favour of any area. The most obvious difference between this and the D 3020 V2, though, is the gain in power. It is undoubtedly a meatier presentation, adding weight and solidity without compromising on detail or NAD’s generally smart timing. If you found its smaller family member a little lightweight, the D 3045 presents a fine and sensibly judged alternative in that regard.https://www.whathifi.com/reviews/nad-d-3045 This is an amplifier Id always lusted over, being more powerful than the heralded 3020i (its smaller brother) I bought this in good faith some year ago from eBay, however when it arrived, the power light on the top started flashing as opposed to be fully lit. I talked to the seller and agreed that I wouldnt send it straight back, but see if it could be fixed, as a result took it to my local (and very well regarded) hi-fi / audio engineer called Armstrong Audio in East London - https://www.armstrong-audio.com/ Upon inspection, Armstrong Audio said that it looks like it was lifted up and forcibly removed from wherever it was by the power cable, its appears that the forks on the kettle / 3 pin plug have been bent and therefore is powering on but not 100%, hence the flashing. Ultimately Armstrong Audio couldnt replace the item/s needing replacing so Im offering it back for sale, for someone that can potentially get it working again (Ive included the very bad photo of the letter that they sent me, hopefully you can make out what it says, I didnt realise the phone was on night mode evidently). Location: East London (E4)Inspection/Collection: Inspection and pick up are welcomedPost & Packing: I can too post via courier as well, as long as we have good communication and am open to your choice of courier if you have one (courier costs estimated at £15-20 location dependent). Any questions or queries, please let me know,Thanks
