This NAD 1020 has been refurbished and recapped for Like New or better performance. Cosmetically, its in wonderful condition except for some marks on the Top/Side Cover. The front panel looks great but has chipped paint around the corners. Please see photos. The Audio Caps have been upgraded to WIMA Film at the Phono Preamp Input and Headphone Amp Input, with Vishay Film in the Bass Tone Filter. The other audio caps are nichicon MUSE BP, FW/Fine Gold, and a pair of ELNA Bipolars in the Tone feedback. The Power Supply caps have been upgraded to nichicon, ELNA and Panasonic. Ive cleaned the switches with Deoxit D5 and lubed the controls with Deoxit Fader F5 for smooth operation. Full refund within 60 days. Buyer pays return shipping. This is a service only listing for any parts I already have plus the labor required to Restore and Re Cap an NAD 1020 or similar Preamplifier that YOU send to me including the 1020A, 1020B, 1000, 1130, and 1240. The shipping charge is for the return trip in the same packaging you sent. The Power Switch is typically fine unless the switched outlets have been heavily loaded by power amps, etc. Replacement is an additional $25. Restore - Clean and inspect the inside of the unit. Repair any issues discovered or mentioned by the buyer. Deoxit switches and potentiometers. Resolder RCA, DIN, and Headphone jacks as needed to reseat and resecure them, along with any other questionable solder joints. Re Cap - Replace all Electrolytic Capacitors. Ill upgrade the audio coupling caps with Bipolar nichicon, ELNA, etc. or WIMA, Philips, TDK, and Vishay Film. I typically choose 105C and/or higher voltage rated caps for the power supplies. I can also install capacitors that you provide as desired. International units at 220VAC are no problem. Please allow 7-10 days from receipt to return ship so that I have time to listen and confirm proper operation. The 30 day handling time is intended to include your ship time to me as well. This preamplifier is in great shape. Couple of tiny nicks on the top left corner. Nothing visible from 2 feet away. The lettering is perfect and there is no rust on the RCA connectors.
