This listingbis for a gorgeous McIntosh MVP851 DVD/CD player. It is in stunning cosmetic condition. Its as close to new old stock as you will find. It is functionally perfect . It plays CDs and DVDs perfectly. Selling since I underutilize it as pretty much just a transport at this point, with my Auralic DAC. It deserves better. It includes an aftermarket remote I bought here on eBay. It will be very well packaged to avoid damage. I take great care in my packing. It will be fully insured as well. Please check the pictures. I am the original owner. Due to hearing loss, I am downsizing my audio-visual system. The chassis is in pristine condition with factory shipping box. I had it serviced to discover that it now longer plays DVD’s. CD’s play fine. Blu-ray discs mostly are accepted; however, some may be slow to read. This called for the replacement of the transport system; however, apparently it is no longer available. Most likely, to restore it completely, another transport could be transplanted. Original cost was 8,000 USD. Included are the owners’ manual, power cord and remote. Note that the remote, typical for this product, has become gummy. Otherwise, it works fine. I have not attempted to correct the situation, although I read that it could be disassembled and cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. I solved the problem by using a universal remote. I have enclosed starter Tributaries V2OFC coax and Radio Shack HDMI cable. The rear of the player contains virtually any connection you might need for your system: dual HDMI outputs, 7.1 multichannel outputs, separate RCA and Balanced stereo outputs, optical and coaxial audio, Ethernet, RS-232, even 12V and IR inputs. As you’d expect for something of this level, everything is gold plated and incredibly solid. There is also a rather large exhaust fan on the right side of the rear, but I never heard it during use, and since a larger fan can spin slower and more quietly than a smaller fan to move as much air, I imagine it will be quiet for most users as well. No issues. * It plays and counts, stops, starts, ejects, and goes in fine. * Nothing is out of sorts. * Works well. Plays well. Sounds good, even, and steady. Comes with what’s in pictures—unit, remote, and its factory box. No cords except its power cord is included. Comes precisely as shown in pictures—front and back. The remote is also in good condition. Please note there is a “film” or something on the remote, so it’ll need some time with a Q-Tip and alcohol, but the film does come off. The remote was lost some time ago and, was under a couch or something, so it got really dirty and dusty. It does function though. Shipping is to the 48 states. Alaska and Hawaii are extra. This CD player is in Excellent+ condition. It was used in a stereo rack. I have not used for three years because I have used a McIntosh MB 20 streaming device instead. In the past summer I moved where had to downsize because of the smaller home. Therefore I had sell my CD collection. That is my reason for selling. As photos show, are minor signs of use--all cosmetic. I see the lights work. Whole unit is fully functional. This unit comes with a power cord, the owners manual, the remote and the McIntosh shipping carton. Ebay has been a wonderful thing for me. It has enabled me to use some of the great gear ever made--when I never could have even dreamed of affording it new. I am pleased with my feedback record and I have had only very few unpleasant experiences. I will do everything I can to make this a pleasant experience for you. Mcintosh MVP-851 CD Player, excellent condition no scratches, I had this unit for a few years and it was playing fine but now is getting HO2 error when trying to play discs. Loads fine,remote works face plate near mint, comes with original box,remote ,manual. I removed the top cover to see if I could clean the lense but decided not to mess with it as I dont have the time. I already upgraded to a new player so I have no use for this unit. Shipping $50
