Musical Fidelity X-CANS Class A Tube Headphone Amplifier with Upgrades. Have owned this for about 20 years. Very nice tube sound. This has been upgraded with the recommended Euro tubes, these are JJs. ALSO has a higher performance Burr-Brown OPA2228P operational amplifier integrated circuits. It is lower noise and higher slew rate than the stock part. These parts cost over $80 and are a real improvement over the stock unit. You can hear the difference. It is in good condition; there are a few small scuffs and scratches. From a Non-smoking house. This also has the correct original power supply. This is for use in North America with 120 VAC wall voltage. These are sometimes sold without same. Also comes with the original (worn) box and documentation. Please ask any questions before bidding. I have been told and believe that this headphone amp has been modded by the legendary Pinkfloyd but I cant find any evidence or purchase receipts and cant verify this. This is a lovely sweet sounding amp which I have most recently used to power my quite demanding Beyerdynamic DT1700 Pros. A good pairing to tame these sometimes overly bright phones. Its in fabulous condition as I do look after my stuff. If you dont know much about these amps, they are very solidly built (all metal construction) and reassuringly heavy.
