This listing is for a pre-owned Musical Fidelity A3.5 (V2.2) Upsampling 24-Bit CD Player in good condition as seen pictured. This unit was tested working onsite and is guaranteed functional. The disc drawer has trouble opening and closing and it does not always respond right away when buttons are pressed. We are unsure on why this happens but it does work and plays as you can see in the photos. Also, one of the feet is missing. Cosmetically has minor wear from previous use including scuffs and scratches. No remote is included but the power cord is. Unit measures (L x W x H): 17 1/4 x 14 1/4 x 4 1/4 and weighs 13 lbs. 14 oz. Musical Fidelity A3 CR Preamplifier w/ Remote Manual and Box Fully Tested and found one issueREAD I used this preamplifier with a complete set of A series equipment which did not include a SACD player so I never knew there was an very low hum on right when using this input. I put nice plugs in to remind you as pictured. I tested all other inputs and outputs and found NO issues. I also checked the MM/MC phono switch. The only issue with this unit is the SACD input. Musical Fidelity A3cr Dual Mono Power Amplifier. This item has not been used for many years. I switched it on for the first time to test prior to listing. Hooked it up to an av pre out and it works fine. Both channels are fine. It is moved house with me a few times so it does have minor light scratches only a few and noticeable at close range. Overall it is in good condition. There is no power cable with this as it got lost. They are easily available.Due to no box and weight it is only for collection from Market Harborough. Musical Fidelity a3cr Power Amplifier. Silver trim. The black case is a little loose at the front where it is in contact with the front facia. It was like that from when I purchased it from a dealer many years ago as ex demo item. Not been used many years. Works as it should. There is no power cable. I only have one which I need for testing so cannot include the one pictured. It’s just a kettle lead. That’s all that is needed. Fancy cables do nothing more. Please expect light markings as this is many years old. I can’t see anything significant. It’s only for collection. There is no box and I won’t get involved in packing and couriers. This is not hi end audio, of course, but a good sound for sure. It has been unused for many years and it currently works. I cannot offer any guarantee about future reliability. I have owned this Amplifier for 10 years and it has been faultless. Fully Dual Mono and Choke regulated, with 3 massive toroidal transformers and 2 chokes, this Amplifier weighs nearly 30 kg, so it is for pick up only. MUSICAL FIDELITY A308CR POWER AMPLIFIERRetail Price: $4700 Cdn Selling AS-IS I purchased this very rare and fantastic a308 series amplifier made by Musical Fidelity in England from a private sale. Considered to be the best power amplifier they ever made in terms of sound quality, with a fairly beefy output at 250 watts (8 ohm) per channel. Unfortunately, it seems the amplifier is not a good match with my equipment or was damaged during shipping as there is an apparent hum/buzzing when powered up. This has been extensively upgraded and updated with top of the line parts without any compromise from the original design. All capacitors have been replaced and wiring has been upgraded amongst others as listed:• Kemet ALS10S Slit Foil PSU capacitors 10,000uF 80v which are all bypassed with TDK foil capacitors 0.1uF 400VDC. In addition, the capacitors have Mundorf capactor pads on the underside and all caps are wrapped in copper foil• All other capacitors replaced with Nichicon’s Gold Series and assorted caps – matched uF rating but higher specifications and voltage ratings• Ceramic capacitors replaced with WIMA foil capacitors• All foil caps (x15) replaced with are highly reated TDK/EPCOS foil capacitors 0.1uf 400vdc• Bridge rectifiers replaced with modern and higher spec Onsemi GBPC3504W• Kimber cable TCX 15 awg hookup wire and twisted for speaker outputs• Kimber cable TCSS 19 awg hookup wire for all signal path including the input board• Heatsinks added to select transistors for added stability• Fully biased to proper specifications with stable current and voltages on all matched output transistors.• Brand new input AC power filter• New Keratherm Red 86/82 thermal pads for all output transistors• Silver solder used throughoutThe upgrade parts alone are worth around $500 plus labour costs – and I would assume at least 10-15 hours, so most likely $1000-$1500 in labour alone. A fantastic amp and a great deal for someone who has the knowledge to look into this! Excellent working and cosmetic condition. Includes manual and does not include power cord. This amplifier is highly regarded and will be packed in double box.
