I have owned these bookshelf speakers since 2004 and purchased them at the same time as a Cyrus system (see my other listings) and they are superb sounding speakers. I used these in my home office and as can be seen, the cabinets have some sun bleaching to the top surface. However, there is no damage to the speaker drivers and as shown they are in quite superb condition as shown with the grills removed. I offer these speakers with a pair of QED silver speaker cables and the listing is collect only as I want a prospective purchaser to audition them and be happy with the sound prior to taking them.For the reason just given I will not offer a shipping service as it is all too easy for a purchaser to blow or deliberately damage a drive unit and then claim they are faulty. Sorry, but we all know there are people out there perfectly willing to do this type of thing and I have been on the receiving end of this type of despicable behavior in the past.Unusually, I do not have the original cartons for these speakers but will provide suitable boxes and packing materials for you to take them away in.For the avoidance of doubt please note, only the pair of speakers as shown are for sale in this auction.

Monitor Audio Silver S1 Speakers in Rosemah veneer. Excellent condition with no dings or marks on the drivers and the veneer is perfect apart from one tiny blemish on the rear corner of one speaker which you cannot see in normal use. (See photo) I was using these as rear surround speakers in a home cinema setup (which is a waste really as these speakers are so good....) so never played loud at all. Bass units and tweeters in mint perfect condition no dents or ripples in tweeters or bass units. Cabinet in excellent condition also no chips or scratches to the oak cabinets. Slight colour shade variation where the grills have been covering the speakers which is quite normal with lighter colour speakers. See pictures for more on condition. Monitor Audio Silver RS1 Bookshelf speakers (Read description). Lovely sounding speakers and only being sold as the colour scheme no longer works with my new setup. Cabinets have some damage and chips which I have shown in the photos but this is only to the veneer finish and doesn’t effect the sound at all. Slight colour difference where the grills have been covering the speakers which is quite normal with lighter colour speakers. The grills have all the mounting pins but 1 of the grills does have a small hole in the fabric which can be seen in the photos. The drivers are in excellent condition, both the mid/bass drivers and the tweeters are free from dents and ripples. Come complete with original bi wire terminal bridges, port bungs and the user manual. Will be well packaged for postage or the buyer can collect from SW17 in London. Thanks for looking. I have added a few more photos again showing the worst of the damage. They still sound amazing and the damage is purely cosmetic to the cabinets and not to the drivers. Thanks
