To play records on either model it was necessary to simply press START and let the automatic system do the rest. The electronic servo drive system kept turntable speed constant and correct, even during fluctuations in the mains supply. Bang & Olufsen Beogram 4002 turntable, includes original MMC20CL cartridge. Single family owned. Purchased by my older brother circa 1977-78. Given to me by him in the late 80s, but made little use of it myself, opting for the convenience of a multi-disc CD player instead. My daughter has made occasional use of it over the last ten years as she discovered vinyl records. She has mentioned to me recently that the B&O would sometimes squeal when played, so it would be in need of refurbishment by a specialist. This is the original B&O cartridge purchased from a proprietor of a closed-down B&O showrom where it was used around 30 years ago as a demo on Beogram 8000. In todays world this is as close to being a new cartridge as it can only be. Only a few playhours ever. Under 100 for sure. Never worked on, not a retip. The package is not the retail type but a simplified B&O box meant for internal deliveries of replacement components. Hi res close up pictures of the actual cartridge included. See the tip condition and the cantilever. Since you are buying from a collector, not a repairer or a reseller there is no need for me to use stock pictures or those with blurred and shapeless ghost images of a most important viewes. In the original red box with the celluloid sleeve and the original B&O test report. Test report ink faded grossly but is still readible.
