Micro Seiki originally made surgical instruments and miniature mechanisms. They then started to produce exquisite and sought-after turntables in the 60s and 70s. This is a really nice piece and would be suited to someone who wants to listen to their new or old favourite records at home. Condition: This is a used unit. Physically the unit itself is in great condition for its age showing some small signs of wear like some marks, nicks and scratches. There is no major damage, and nothing which detracts from the use or functions of the DD-5. Overall it is in nice condition and would make a great centre piece for your collection. Please see photos. This unit will ship with its original dust cover. This cover has also been used. It shows some general wear, like some scuffs, scratches and marks. You are bidding on a Micro Seiki DD-35 direct drive automatic turntable with Empire 2000T cartridge. I received this unit from a local estate. It is in very good cosmetic condition with a couple of small nicks/marks on its base (please see the 11th & 12th pics) and some scratches/rubbing marks/cloudiness on its cover and cover has a small crack around one of the hinge (please see the 14th pic). It is missing one of the small cover rest cushion (please see the 15th pic) and it is missing all four cushion rubbers from the bottom feet (two damaged rubbers are pictured/please see the last two pics). It powers up and seems to play the record fine (slight scratch on the record creates a tik noise on the video). The Cueing buttons and fine speed knob (tested the 33 only) are responsive, I have not touched any other parts (arm adjustments/etc.,).
